No, Balkanstay does not charge Hoster directly. Instead, we apply a fee of €20 per reservation, which is added on top of your nightly price and paid by Guest. This fee is collected from you, the host, and we accumulate it over the course of the month or up to three months. An invoice will be provided for the total amount which you should pay it..

Yes, listing your property on BalkanStay is completely free of charge! You can add your property to our platform without any initial costs. In the future, we will offer both paid and free packages for listing properties. However, the free package will always be available, ensuring you have the option to list your property without any ongoing fees.

With Staypay we’ll take care of processing payments, and you'll only incur fees for the transactions themselves, making it simpler and more secure for both you and your Guests. Keep in mind, this is a user-friendly platform, and you’re not required to use Staypay if you prefer another method.

If you need to make changes to your property details, amenities, or photos, we have a simple process for you to update your listing at any time. Log in to your Host account, Navigate to My Profile-> My Properties -> select button Edit of the property you want to edit, and make changes in real-time.

To sync your property calendar with other platforms, we support iCal integrations. This feature allows you to automatically update your availability across multiple sites and prevent double bookings. To connect your calendars navigate to My Profile -> My properties -> On the card of the property you want to Import/Export you will find iCal button. From there, you can easily Import an iCal link or Export your balkanstays calendar.
How do I handle cancellations and guest complaints?
You can manage cancellations directly from your Dashboard (My Profile -> Bookings) , following the policy you’ve set up. If issues arise with guests, our Support Team is here to help mediate disputes or assist with specific resolutions.
Can I track the performance of my property?
Yes! Balkanstay provides a comprehensive analytics tool where you can monitor metrics like booking frequency, guest reviews, and revenue. These insights will help you assess your performance and make adjustments for better results. To check them navigate to My Profile -> Dashboard.

Encourage positive reviews by providing excellent service, clear communication, and following up with guests after their stay. The better your ratings, the higher your listing will rank or you can boost your listing at the Top. We also offer tips on how to professionally respond to guest feedback.
Additionally, you can enable Google Reviews to appear on your Balkanstay listing by entering the Google Maps Place ID in the Edit Property section. This allows your reviews from Google to automatically show up on your Balkanstay profile as well. We also offer tips on how to professionally respond to guest feedback to maintain a positive reputation.

All payments could be processed securely through our platform. You can configure how you want to charge your Guests. If you use our payment processing StayPay you will recieve payments via bank transfer or PayPal,if you choose to use another payment processor, we are not responsible for those transactions.

You can easily block dates in your calendar when your property is unavailable. This helps prevent double bookings and gives you full control over your availability.
To block dates, you can do it over iCal or if follow these steps:
- Navigate to My Profile → My Properties.
- Click Edit on the card of the listing you want to update.
- Scroll down to the Availability Calendar.
- Click on the green date number you want to block— it will turn red to indicate that the date is closed.
- Click Preview, then click Save Changes to confirm.
